The January 20, 2022 Executive Committee meeting is being held remotely. The public can access the

Sup. Chawla spoke briefly in support of the great projects Dane Arts is supporting  
through its funding and support of artists and cultural /arts organizations.  
A motion was made by ERICKSON, seconded by CHAWLA, that the resolution  
Requiring 2/3rds Vote be recommended for approval. The motion carried by a  
voice vote.

STATE LEGISLATIVE UPDATE BY DANE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE LIAISON  
Dane County Legislative Liaison, Carrie Springer, reported on recent state legislative  
activity. Springer stated that it is a busy time of year, with the last floor sessions  
scheduled to run through March. Various topics being addressed at the legislature  
include crime bills, election reform, Fentanyl strip decriminalization, hybrid juvenile  
proceedings, etc. Ms. Springer will send a written update out to the full board soon.  
Ms. Springer will be meeting soon with her counterpart in Milwaukee County to discuss an  
urban counties caucus association.

The next meeting of this committee is scheduled for February 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
