1. By Youth For Youth Presentation (Taylor Seale)
Taylor Seale, Community Youth Development Educator from UW-Extension Dane
County, presented on the Dane County By Youth For Youth (BYFY) program, including
the history and purpose of the program, the youth participating this year, and the Youth
Commission’s role in BYFY.
Dane County is one of the funders of BYFY, so BYFY youth will present its funding
recommendations for programs to the Youth Commission for a vote at the March
meeting. The March meeting will tentatively move to Monday, March 21, from 6-7 p.m. to
accommodate the schedules of BYFY youth.

Dane County Youth Assessment Updates: The overview report was presented during a
webinar in December and work has commenced on demographic reports.
Other topics to potentially explore this year: MMSD policy for wellness, Freedom Inc.'s
Youth Justice work.
