E. June Executive Committee/Commission Discussion Topics
- Commissioner Miquelon would like to host the full commission at the Rumpus Room in
Mazomanie on September 21st
- Upon revisiting the topic of augmenting the grant review process, Commissioners
agreed that it did not need to be addressed at this time
- Commissioner Klehr discussed how to engage Commissioners for upcoming arts and
culture events

- Current/pending
- Laura Gallagher and Jennifer Garret will be advanced to the next step in the process of
being appointed to the Commission
- Two additional potential Commissioners are waiting for next steps
- Director Fraire and Commissioner Puleo Moyer continue to seek potential

- Director Fraire will be absent from the June 15 Commission meeting
- Quorum for the June 15th Commission meeting is still to be determined
G. June Elections Update
Elections for Chair and Vice Chair of the Commission will be conducted during the June
Commission meeting
H. Executive Director Report
-Dane Arts is moving forward with Dane Arts Buy Local 2022.
- A parking lot near Willy Street fair was offered for the art market.
- Cycle 2, 2022 applications will open in the next several days
- Director Fraire has spoken with County Executive Parisi about funding Cultural Affairs
Specialist, Augusta Brulla, through County, rather than private, funds. The remaining
funds would be allocated directly to artists.
- Dane Arts had several projects in the works with StartingBlock which have been
canceled due to the resignation of all existing staff.
- AEP 6
- The Arts and Economic Prosperity (AEP 6) survey to measure the economic impact of
the arts is now in process.
- Dane Arts needs to collect a total of 800 surveys from at least 16 different
organizations from May 2022 to April 2023.
- There is a separate survey for BIPOC audiences.
