MINUTES OF THE APRIL 4, 2022 FARMLAND PRESERVATION PLAN  
STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING  
Motion by Piaget, second by Thompson, to amend the minutes to show Steering  
Committee attendees present and to add attachment with members of the public  
in attendance.

CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS TO DANE COUNTY AGRICULTURE -  
CHRISTINA ANDERSON, WISCONSIN LAND & WATER  
Christina Taylor of Wisconsin Land and Water gave a presentation to the  
Steering Committee.

Steve Deller from the University of Wisconsin gave a presentation to the Steering

Seb Waldvogel gave a presentation on the preliminary results from the farmer  
survey.

APPOINTMENTS FOR REPLACEMENT FPP STEERING COMMITTEE  
MEMBER

Brian Standing introduced Jamie Rybarczyk, Director of Economic Development  
for the Village of Windsor. Staff will recommend to the ZLR Chair that Mr.  
Rybarczyk replace Wade Thompson on the Steering Committee.

UPDATE ON FPP PLAN RECERTIFICATION TIMELINE  
Brian Standing gave an update on the Farmland Preservation Plan recertification  
process.

UPDATE ON STAKEHOLDER OUTREACH

Brian Standing gave an update on outreach to stakeholders who may be  
interested in the Farmland Preservation Plan.  
By consensus, the Steering Committee directed staff to share survey results and  
policy recommendations with municipalities, the Dane County Cities and Villages  
Association. Steering Committee members will get comments on surveys for the  
general public to staff within one week.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
Renee Lauber asked to have an item on the next agenda related to permanent  
agricultural preservation. Other items to include policy options.  
The next meeting of the Farmland Preservation Plan Steering Committee will  
take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
