Kate McGinnity called the meeting to order at 4 pm and welcomed all the Extension  
Committee.

A motion was made by RIPP, seconded by SMITH, that the Minutes be approved.  
The motion carried by a voice vote 5-0.  
D. Action Items  
•
Election of Chair and Vice Chair – McGinnity called for nominations.  
McGinnity nominated Brenda Yang as Chair. No other nominations.  
A motion was made by RIPP, seconded by SMITH, to close nominations and cast  
a unanimous ballot for YANG. The motion carried unanimously 5-0.  
Smith nominated Kate McGinnity as Vice Chair. No other nominations.  
A motion was made by RIPP, seconded by KIGEYA, to close nominations and cast  
a unanimous ballot for MCGINNITY. The motion carried unanimously 5-0.

Select regular meeting time – The committee decided to meet on the 3rd Tuesday of  
each month at 4 pm. The June meeting will be via Zoom.  
E. Reports  
•
Overview of Extension – Carrie Edgar, Director provided an orientation to UW  
Extension for the members. Edgar thanked Akanksha Denduluri and Heba Haq,the  
YGP representatives, and recognized their service to Extension and Dane County.

F. Announcements

McGinnity shared that the YGP picnic will be May 22. Edgar will send out an email  
notice to the entire committee.

A motion was made by SMITH, seconded by KIGEYA, that the meeting be  
adjourned. The motion carried unanimously 5-0.
