F. Presentations  
1. Presentation of the 2021 Dane County Safety Achievement Award to the Dane County Regional Airport  
- Dan Lowndes, Dane County Safety & Working Conditions Study Committee  
Dan Lowndes with Dane County Risk Management was in attendance at the meeting via  
Zoom to present the 2021 Dane County Safety Achievement Award to the Dane County  
Regional Airport.  
2. Commission Discussion on placement of Paul Rusk Memorial Plaque - Michael Kirchner  
G. Reports to Committee  
1. Airport Activity Update - Kim Jones, Airport Director  
Director Jones reported at the close of April 2022 our year to date numbers were up 99.2% over 2021. This  
is still below 2019. The new air service marketing position was approved by the County Board last week.  
Director Jones will be attending the Jumpstart event and has meetings set with six different airlines.  
2. Update: Noise Committee Meeting - Kim Jones, Airport Director  
Director Jones reminded the Commission that the Noise sub-committee traditionally meets in person  
twice a year, May and October. We are currently looking at dates for the October meeting. The Airport  
Commission Chair will need to replace members no longer with the Commission, including Paul Rusk  
who chaired this committee.  
H. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
The next Airport Commission Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, July 13,  
2022, 5:30 pm, or at the Call of the Chair
