C. Discussion Items
SSM Health Stroke Program - Bleifuss
Update that SSM St. Marys will have 24/7 Thrombectomy capabilities starting this month.
Training is available thru their program if needed by EMS agencies. Stoughton EMS
created a stroke check sheet to assist with the change to BEFAST, this will go out to
EMS and the ER for use.
Hovermatt for Patient Movement at ED
Meier was asked if all hospitals could consider hovermatt to assist with patient
movement from cot to bed.
Asked that all ED representatives check on this and we will discuss next month.
University Ave Construction Update
No update at this time. UW plans to send a survey to EMS providers for any feedback
they have.
ED Triage with EMS Transports
Meier wanted to discuss the use of triage in waiting room for ambulance transported
patients. Think it would be good to better educate on what this means for patients and
allow EMS to be more prepared for this question of appropriateness. Will continue
discussion next month.
