Chair Long called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm and made a statement regarding the  
rules and procedures of the Board. Hilbert provided instructions for the virtual meeting.

Henry Spelter, 5204 Autumn Ln McFarland, addressed the Board related to his appeal  
application of CUP 2563. He asked that the Board consider his request of recusal.

D. Public Hearing for Appeals  
Appeal 3719. Appeal by Mohamad Chowdry (Seth Dizard,  
court-appointed receiver) for a variance from minimum required setback to  
a wetland as provided by Section 11.03(2)(a)2., Dane County Code of  
Ordinances, to permit a truck wash at 6011 US Highway 51 being a parcel  
of land in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼, Section 8, Town of Burke.

Sponsors:  
Chair Long opened the public hearing. Assistant Zoning Administrator Hilbert provided a  
staff report and answered questions of the Board.  
Roxanne Johnson, engineer and agent of the applicant, spoke in favor of the appeal and  
answered questions of the Board.  
Justin Grantin, applicant and potential buyer of subject property, answered questions of  
the Board and provided additional details on the proposal.  
Zoning Administrator Lane described concerns with the request and stated that it  
appears alternative development not requiring the requested relief exist. The Board  
asked questions of Lane.  
The Chair allowed Johnson a rebuttal and then closed the public hearing.  
The Board deliberated the appeal and provided guidance to the applicant related to the  
motion.  
LEESER/KAY to hold the appeal in abeyance for a period of one year to allow the  
applicant to submit a revised plan. Applicant may return before the board  
anytime within the one year abeyance. Motion carried.
