A motion was made by TIKALSKY, seconded by GLAZER, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.

Discuss the 2021-2022 Broadband Task Force Report, including key  
takeaways  
Ratcliff reviewed presentation that was shown to the Dane County Board of Supervisors.  
Task Force members discussed recommendations.  
2. Next steps for the Task Force, including the focus of the Task Force  
McGinnity presented  
McGinnity talked about implementing recommendations of the Task Force report and the  
roadblocks that Dane County residents face.  
NTIA broadband grants  
Sharon Lezberg presented  
Government Affairs Director Carrie Springer sent information to staff about the NTIA  
broadband grants. Springer highlighted application deadlines for these grants.  
What is the role of the Task Force in the following areas  
Identify grants opportunities  
Communication with local government and community organize about grant availability  
Supporting entities of local governments and community organization with applications for  
those grants  
AUTHORIZING FUNDS FOR HIRING A CONSULTANT FOR A  
BROADBAND INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT  
AND COORDINATION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF FIBER  
BROADBAND THROUGHOUT DANE COUNTY

Consultant starting work mid-September. Consultant already started doing background  
research. Goal of completing current assessment by the end of November.

Legislative Liaison Carrie Springer to present on the qualifications for how Broadband  
funds can be used.
