B. Consideration of Minutes
MEDICAL ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE JULY 2022 MINUTES
Attachments: July Minutes
This minutes were approved.
C. Discussion Items
UW Nursing Strike
An agreement was made among all parties and there is no longer a strike planned.
Emergency OB Communications
A recent EMS call for an emergency OB patient did not have information relayed to OB
triage following EMS' report to the ER. This caused confusion during transfer of care, and
it was asked by providers if it is possible to call OB direct. Dr. VanBendegom and
Lehmann discusses the processes at Meriter and St. Mary's. There is agreement that the
process should be kept consistent between hospitals. Dr. Vanbendegom has reached
out to OB and ER leadership to review the process and the specific incident and see if
there needs to be a change to their procedure. This item will remain on the agenda to
follow up on at the next meeting.

H. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law
The three Dane County hospitals are working to come up with an efficient ER triage
process that will allow EMS agency to transfer patient care quickly and get back into
service. The Annual Trauma Care Conference is on December 1st. It is a one day
conference with a fee, and the key note speaker is a family from the Las Vegas music
festival shooting.
I. Adjourn
